The story of Mahabharat is well known but hardly or very few knows what happen after that. This is one of the story after Mahabharat that how Krishna clan get finished after 36 years of fierce battle of Mahabharat.

Well it started in Mahabharat battle on seventeenth day of battle Gandhari after seeing corpses all over the places and death of his ninety nine children's' in fury and anger cursed Lord Krishna that like his clan get destroyed and killed each other in same way like his clan get destroyed. Krishna without hesitation just said Tatha Astu(As you wish) and grant her boon. The reason for that because Krishna himself feels that Yadav has become quite arrogant and has got too much of hangover of power and thus there destruction also needed for establishment of true Dharma. He wants this to happen in Kurukshetra battle but since Balram had already told both Kauravs and Pandavas that they both are there brothers and relatives so they can't raise weapon against them so no one from Yadav clan will participate in this war(He and Ruki(Rukmini's brother )are only two kings from Aryavrat who didn't participate in that war) and thus save his clan. Krishna find remedy of this by giving options to both Kauravs and Pandavas that from one side he will participate but will not raise or use weapon whereas on other side his Narayani Sena(Krishna Army) will participate. Duryodhan pick Krishna army whereas Arjun choose Krishna.

Well after Gandhari curse years passed and exactly after 36 years when Yadav sons become arrogant and greedy for power and a bit of senseless due to power the time of fulfillment of Gandhari curse comes up. One of the son of Krishna(named Samba) dressed as women went to rishi and ask him what will she will have a boy or girl as she is going to gave birth to a child.The rishi sees his prank and cursed him that he will gave birth to an iron bolt which will lead to destruction of his clan. In many story the rishi was told none other than Durvasa and whose curses are very brutal. Samba as per curse gave birth to iron rod and informed about this to Krishna, he himself doesn't want to stop this and wants this to happen ordered Ugrasena to grind or powderize the iron rod into powder and threw the powder in Prabhasa sea Ugrasena did the same and threw away powder of rod in Prabhasa sea but soon after whoever visit that sea was indulge in deceit, treachery and drinking too much alcohol.

The city(Dwarka) witness many omens like disappearances of Krishna Sudarshan Chakra or Balram ploughing weapon and finally the day arrived when a clan got decimate within a day on Prabhasa sea.

It all started with Satyaki who is heavely intoxicated accused Kritvarma for killing sons of Pandavas while sleeping in Kurukshetra battle. Kritvarma than accuse him and Pandavs for killing many warriors of Kaurav army by deception, the argument grown up heavily and in anger many starts taking side of Satyaki and while others go with Kritvarma(Kritvarma and Satyaki both are part of Narayani sena but Satyaki participate from Pandavas side whereas Kritvarma took field for Kauravas and they both are two of those eleven warriors who survive that war) the argumnet went too far when in anger Satyaki kills Kritvarma with his sword and thus a war kind of situation become among all Yaduvanshi they all start fighting very violently and viciously, maybe the alcohol has gone too far in there minds and ego of power just makes them to let kill each other. They all start picking up eraka grass which has grown up on shore of sea as soon as they pick that grass, it miraculously become a bolt of iron and thus slay each other(Many used to say it was Krishna first who pick up that grass and killed many) as everyone was heavily intoxicated with alcohol so they start picking up that grass which become bolt of iron and slay each other since whoever is involved there get killed and in this manner whole clan or children of Krishna got killed. The grass that they pick for killing is nothing else but the powder of iron rod which Krishna pulverised in Prabhasa sea, the powder grown up as grass on shore of sea and in this way the curse of Rishi got fulfilled. Some of the powder that cast in sea of that iron rod was swallowed by fish and soon it become a metal in his body. Krishna who has foresight of everything has come to knew that his departure time from earth has come up and went to forest for meditation, Balram after seeing all this took Jal Samadhi. Here one more thing is to be known Krishna got boon from Saga that his whole body will remain unaffected by any kind of weapon but just before Mahabharat battle when Krishna try to judge skills and valour of Barbaric hide one leaf of Peepal tree under his foot and his arrow pierce his foot which makes it vulnerable and only part of his body which can be effected by any weapon.

The fish who swallowed that iron rod powder was captured by a hunter named Jara and thus he sharpen that metal and make it an arrow and went for hunting, Krishna who knew his time is up just put something on his left foot due to which it brighten up in red colour which is also weaker section of his body the hunter (named Jara) misunderstood it as Deer mistakenly shoot arrow and it killed Krishna thus Krishna left this world and ascends to heaven. In other story the hunter was none other than reincarnation of Vali whom Ram(Vishnu previous incarnation) killed while he was battling his brother Sugriva. In this manner the clan of Krishna got annihilated and curse of Gandhari got fulfilled and to finish such a huge clan it all required just an Iron bolt. This whole incident is captured or written in Mausala Parva and thus it ends Krishna stays on earth which lasted for nearly 125 years. The death of Krishna mark the end of Dvapara yug and beginning of Kali Yug which ultimately leads to Kalyug which is still goin on. This is one of the many stories of Mahabharat which very few or lesser people know.
